Responsibilities

Own and police the web design guidelines (including keeping them updated)
Proactively recommend improvements to the customer-facing interface
Actively participate in project initiatives
Design and coding of page templates (and prototypes)
Design and coding of marketing emails based on briefs provided by Web Content Coordinator
Design and creation of banners/images as and when required
Conceptualizes the graphical interface of client's e-Business image for various Internet applications.
Integrates video, animation, still images, text and audio into the graphical design of the e-Business
Utilizes various graphical software tools and technologies to transform graphical concepts into specific electronic applications on and off-line.
Makes changes to product based on feedback from management and users.
Collaborates with Web Master or Web developers on Web design and delivery of graphical content to end users.
Overall layout and production design of magazines, newspapers, journals, corporate reports, and other publications.
Produce promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures for services.
Design distinctive logos for products and businesses, and develop signs.
Developing graphic designs that effectively communicates the ideas being promoted by the Web site.

Skills

Strong understanding of E-commerce considerations including customer journey, SEO and usability
Advanced knowledge of XHTML, CSS and JavaScript - evidenced by a strong portfolio
Photoshop and Illustrator design skills - evidenced by a strong portfolio
Experience of Dreamweaver
Comfortable with hand-coding (if and when necessary)
Skilled in story boarding and user journeys
Awareness of W3C web standards
Awareness of cross browser/platform compatibility issues

Experience

Minimum one year experience in the relevant technologies in true software development environment that builds commercial softwares/websites.
